Steinhafels Furniture, one of the Midwest’s largest privately owned furniture retailers with 18 locations across Wisconsin and Illinois, faced rapid growth from acquisitions, new mattress stores and facility expansions that strained its maintenance operations. The family-owned business needed an easy-to-use facilities management system to schedule work orders and track parts and labor costs across owned and leased sites, after finding previous solutions too complex or costly.

Steinhafels implemented Proteus MMX for its scalability and simplicity, using the service request module to log needs, schedule work and centrally track transactions, labor and parts with a minimal team. The system became the backbone of the facilities department, improving productivity, enabling preventative maintenance planning, giving a clear view of each building’s needs, and paving the way for future mobile technician tools to further boost efficiency.
