Proteus CMMS Helps Larned State Hospital Process Work Orders, Track Inventory

Larned State Hospital (LSH), a multi-building facility in Kansas serving the most severely and persistently mentally ill, manages tens of thousands of pieces of equipment across nearly 1 million sq. ft. Its aging, in‑house maintenance software couldn’t scale to handle growing asset and inventory volumes or deliver fast, actionable reports, so the maintenance team needed a more robust CMMS.

LSH selected Eagle Technology’s Proteus CMMS for its SQL Server backbone, fast reporting and features like multi‑cycle scheduling, BAS integration, service requests and barcode support; onsite training and support helped import 10,000+ assets and 18,000+ inventory items. Today LSH processes 50–60 work orders daily, better tracks labor and PM completion, manages multiple stockrooms, and reports improved speed, functionality and vendor support — with plans to link BAS signals to Proteus for automated work orders and to use the system for staffing forecasts.
