GE Automation & Controls, a GE division that supplies industrial automation and power-plant control systems worldwide, depended on hundreds of channel partners but suffered from fragmented, messy sales data in Salesforce. The lack of a single source of truth made calculating commissions difficult, forced sales teams to spend weeks matching POS data to opportunities, and left GE with little visibility into smaller partners’ sell-through and inventory.
GE selected e2open’s Channel Data Management (CDM) application to automate data cleanup and ongoing integration with Salesforce, centralizing POS and inventory information and enabling secure partner reporting. The solution delivered faster, more accurate partner reports, eliminated time-consuming administrative tasks, supported variable compensation based on sell-through, and reduced inventory costs and stock-outs through data-driven resupply recommendations and targeted partner notifications.
