A consumer-packaged goods giant faced significant production disruption due to a network switch failure, a problem worsened by its reliance on legacy PLC-5 hardware. The automation partner, E Tech Group, was brought in to upgrade the control system to ControlLogix, which was necessary to implement Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs) and prevent future widespread outages.
