Preview of the Iconic American Retailing Company Case Study

Iconic American Retailer with $1.6 Billion in Sales and Over 5000 Employees Uses the FirstSpirit Hybrid CMS for Experience-Driven Commerce

Iconic American Retailing Company, a U.S. outdoor clothing, equipment and home-goods retailer, faced a growing content-management bottleneck: marketers relied on IT to create and update commerce pages on its IBM WebSphere Commerce platform, making promotional campaigns slow and costly. To move to experience-driven commerce the company selected e-Spirit’s FirstSpirit hybrid CMS to give marketers direct control over content and campaign management.

e-Spirit integrated FirstSpirit with the retailer’s e-commerce platform to provide a unified interface, templates, personalization and campaign scheduling so marketers could create, preview and stage content without IT involvement. The change eliminated manual HTML page creation, cut IT workload by about 676 hours (≈84.5 days) per homepage annually, accelerated time-to-market, increased marketing productivity and improved the company’s ability to deliver personalized, commerce-driven digital experiences.
