SMS Equipment, a leading supplier of equipment and services for the mining, construction, forestry, and utility sectors in Canada, needed to replace multiple inherited legacy systems from acquired dealer operations. Its challenge was to find a next-generation ERP platform that could unify operations, improve integration across branches, and support future growth. e-Emphasys was selected as the vendor, with e-Emphasys ERP as the core product.

e-Emphasys implemented e-Emphasys ERP for SMS Equipment’s western Canada operations and new Mongolia business, along with e-Emphasys ERP BI for better reporting and decision-making. The solution improved operational alignment, standardized processes, reduced costs, and supported training through the Dynamic enterprise Modeler (DEM). SMS also benefited from the system’s ability to handle Mongolia’s language and currency requirements, helping the company run more efficiently and focus on growth and customer service.
