Big Sky School District plans for the next 50 years with A&E Design

The Big Sky School District in Montana faced the challenge of expanding its facilities to accommodate its growth from a Class C to a Class B school. It needed to create innovative STEAM learning spaces and provide proper athletic solutions, all while securing a community bond during the COVID-19 pandemic. The district partnered with the architecture and design firm A&E Design for this project.

A&E Design provided comprehensive architectural and design services to address these challenges. The solution included a STEAM facility addition, classroom backfill, a new common area, and a track and field expansion with site improvements. The design incorporated aggressive building performance standards and focused on unifying the school campuses. As a result, A&E Design helped the district secure the necessary bond and created a high-performance resource for both education and the entire community that is built to last for the next 50 years.
