The University of Nottingham, one of the UK’s leading universities, needed a flexible leave and absence management system that could work across different faculties and complex structures. With multiple spreadsheets creating poor visibility, managers struggled to track staff availability and plan resources effectively. e-days provided a leave tracking and absence management solution to address these challenges.

e-days was rolled out across the university to handle entitlement calculation, holiday booking, team visibility, sickness tracking, reporting, overtime and TOIL, with single sign-on through the internal portal. The result was a centralised, self-service system that replaced inconsistent spreadsheets, improved HR/admin efficiency, and scaled from a few faculties to more than 2,500 users at The University of Nottingham.
