London Luton Airport, the UK’s fifth largest airport, partnered with e-days to replace a paper- and spreadsheet-based holiday booking process that had become unsustainable as the organisation grew. The manual system was time-consuming, prone to human error, and created an unfair first-come, first-served race for holiday requests, with employees needing to be on shift to submit forms in person.

e-days implemented its absence management platform, including holiday booking, auto calc rules, working patterns, and reporting, giving London Luton Airport a user-friendly way to book leave anytime, anywhere and better manage shift patterns and planned absence. As a result, the airport gained much improved visibility and more reliable absence data, streamlined admin for staff and managers, and successfully adapted the platform to support flexitime at no extra cost.
