ASOS revolutionises employee absence management

ASOS, the global online fashion retailer, worked with e-days to tackle a manual, spreadsheet-heavy absence management process in its customer contact centre. The company was spending significant time on data entry, paper-based return-to-work forms, and manual calculations, all of which created a heavy administrative burden and limited visibility for managers and the People Experience team.

Using e-days’ absence management platform, including leave management, holiday planning, reporting, auto calc rules, and wellbeing sign-posting, ASOS moved to a self-service, automated process. The results were dramatic: end-to-end absence processing time dropped from 75 minutes to just five minutes, return-to-work forms waiting to be processed fell from hundreds to around ten, and reporting became available at the click of a button. e-days also helped ASOS reduce weekend backlog work and improve employee experience across the business.
