Tarmac, a CRH company and the UK’s leading sustainable building materials and construction solutions business, was managing rebates for two large cement works and several depots in Excel. This created limited visibility and control, duplicate data entry, inconsistencies, errors from manual re-keying, and no audit trail for approvals or calculation changes.

e-bate implemented its calculation engine with a bespoke front end to create a fully automated end-to-end rebate management platform integrated with Tarmac’s ERP system. The new solution provided a single source for rebate management, reduced duplication, enabled scenario planning and forecasting, and fed data into Tarmac’s data warehouse; it supports £100 million in rebate value per year across 700,000 transactions, 200 rebate agreements, 17,000 customers, and 18 plants/depots.
