Southern Nevada Health District Migrates to the Cloud and Creates a Modern Workplace with Microsoft Solutions

Southern Nevada Health District, one of the largest local public health organizations in the U.S., needed to modernize its aging on-premises IT environment without the budget for major hardware and software upgrades. Working with Dyntek, the district wanted to move off Exchange 2007 and older SharePoint and Office versions to create a more secure, collaborative modern workplace for its 500 users.

Dyntek evaluated the costs, recommended an Office 365 cloud migration, and implemented a phased rollout with off-hours migrations to minimize disruption. The project was completed in seven weeks with no downtime, and the results included projected savings of 15–38% versus an on-premises upgrade, a $9,000 Microsoft rebate, 40% savings in the first year, and 14% savings in later years. Dyntek also helped improve security, collaboration, licensing flexibility, and disaster recovery with Azure-based redundancy.
