A Dyntek Case Study

Preview of the City of Las Vegas Case Study

How Las Vegas is Creating the City of Tomorrow

The City of Las Vegas is transforming into a smart city, led by its Director of Technology and Innovation, Michael Sherwood. To support this vision, the city needed help building connected infrastructure for IoT, augmented reality, beaconing, and other citizen-facing digital services, including its Innovation District and smart transportation initiatives. Dyntek played a key role as an implementation partner, helping bring these ideas to life.

Dyntek supported the City of Las Vegas in deploying smart intersections, vehicle and pedestrian counting cameras, air-quality monitoring, trash-bin sensors, and the Cisco Connected Digital Platform. This solution gave city officials a more unified view of operations, improved decision-making, and helped accelerate IoT initiatives. The result has been better traffic management, a foundation for autonomous-vehicle corridors, and a more engaging, efficient experience for residents and visitors.
