A Dynatrace Case Study
PayMaya, a Philippines pioneer in mobile money and payments that serves the financially underserved, needed to launch a new payment app on a tight 100-day timeline while meeting regulator requirements to keep core systems on-premises. To avoid the delays and costs of a fully on-premises build, the team chose a hybrid cloud approach to scale quickly and bring digital payment services to unbanked customers.
Engineers built the app on AWS with a microservices architecture and used Dynatrace Digital Performance Monitoring for AI-driven auto-discovery and anomaly detection. The combination cut discovery from days to minutes, enabled fixes in under an hour, reduced core app response times to under one second, and saved roughly 90 days of operational overhead—accelerating time-to-market and improving reliability and scalability.
