Leeds Building Society, a UK mutual that provides savings accounts and mortgages, faced a fragmented, overly manual monitoring approach across its multigenerational stack (data centres, third‑party services and cloud). Multiple tools failed to give operations clear context about the root cause of problems, making it hard to resolve or prevent service issues before customers were impacted.
The society adopted Dynatrace’s unified observability with AIOps, which delivered immediate, actionable insights and real‑time root‑cause analysis (including the exact number of users affected). As a result, reliability improved, incidents were detected earlier, MTTR fell by about five hours (with one deployment rollback reduced from days to an hour), and IT now collaborates more closely with the business while focusing on higher‑value work.
