Accelerating ID Capture for First United Bank

Dynamsoft helped First United Bank, a large banking organization in the Southwest US, overcome a significant technological challenge. The bank's relationship bankers were spending up to 45 minutes on the manual and cumbersome process of opening new accounts, which involved physically scanning IDs in another room and manually copying data across multiple applications. This inefficient system left little time for bankers to have meaningful conversations with customers.

Using Dynamsoft's SDKs, including Dynamic Web TWAIN, Dynamsoft Barcode Reader, and Dynamsoft Label Recognizer, a solution was implemented to scan IDs directly within a web browser and automatically extract data to populate forms. This automation, integrated with third-party verification, slashed the account opening process to just 10-12 minutes. The project by Dynamsoft is estimated to save 3.5 years of person time on new account openings, freeing bankers to focus on customer relationships and cross-selling opportunities.
