DFDS scales EV operations across depots with Dynamon

DFDS, a major European shipping and logistics company, faced the challenge of assessing the feasibility of electrifying its fleet. They needed to process vast amounts of telematics data from multiple systems to understand operational patterns and determine how to allocate electric vehicles across depots, balancing vehicle suitability with charging infrastructure and grid capacity. To tackle this, they partnered with Dynamon.

Dynamon used its ZERO platform to consolidate DFDS's data and model EV feasibility across routes and depots, creating site-specific charging plans. Following deployment, DFDS adopted Dynamon's RouteZERO tool for day-to-day EV route planning. As a result, DFDS successfully deployed electric HGVs in the UK with a clear operational plan, and its planners now use RouteZERO with confidence to assess routes, plan charging, and maximize vehicle utilization. The solution from Dynamon is now being expanded into DFDS's mainland European operations.
