BridgeStone improves mpg by 6.35% with Dynamon

BridgeStone Americas, a major tire and rubber company, and Penske Transportation Solutions needed to validate which commercially viable, near-term CO₂ reduction measures actually worked in live US fleet operations. The challenge was that real-world fuel consumption is affected by numerous external factors like weather and traffic, making it difficult to confidently attribute changes to specific interventions. They partnered with vendor Dynamon to address this challenge using its Precision Trial Analytics.

Dynamon integrated Penske's telematics data into BridgeStone's Big Fleet analytics platform to create a shared operational picture. It then designed an optimized real-world trial that used historic data to shape test groups and live monitoring to ensure measured fuel changes tracked the interventions—tyre strategies and renewable diesel—rather than operational noise. As a result, over 500,000 miles were analyzed, and a 6.35% improvement in miles per gallon was measured from the tyre and retread package, providing trusted, measurable evidence of CO₂ reduction.
