Trucking Company needed a way to protect its operations without relying on nightly tape backups, since any downtime would be a major disaster for a fleet with 4,300 trucks on the road at any time. Dynamix Group worked with the customer to address this data protection challenge, using solutions including IBM eServer i5 and Lakeview MIMIX HA1.

Dynamix Group implemented a high-availability setup at the primary data center with a second machine running MIMIX that communicated with the HA data center. This gave the trucking company the ability to be fully online at the HA site in less than 60 minutes, and they also spend two weeks each year running on the backup system to verify data integrity and readiness for an emergency.
