Hjem-IS is a Danish ice cream company known for its summer ice cream trucks. Faced with a limited, outdated ecommerce setup, Hjem-IS wanted a modern online store with better purchase flows, a customer club with loyalty points, and integration to their tour manager Kartena so customers could be informed of local delivery times based on truck GPS. Using Dynamicweb (implemented by partner 1st Web), Hjem-IS launched a customer‑oriented ecommerce site and club that lets customers build personalized orders, automatically applies discounts, and integrates with Kartena to trigger targeted SMS offers. A distance‑to‑time algorithm times SMS notifications to arrive 15 minutes before the truck reaches a customer. Since launch, Dynamicweb’s solution has driven record-high customer loyalty, increased total turnover and average order size, and more transactions from the ice cream trucks, with all customer data centralized in Dynamicweb for ongoing personalization.
