Case Study: Europcar achieves increased online revenue and bookings with Dynamicweb

A Dynamicweb Case Study

Preview of the Europcar Case Study

Europcar Denmark’s largest car rental launch new B2B and B2C booking portal that handles +7,000 passenger cars, vans, and lorries

Europcar, Denmark’s largest car rental company with 40 offices and a 34% market share, needed a faster, more user-friendly booking flow that could let customers find and book from more than 7,000 vehicles while handling technical specs, age rules, local availability, constantly updated pricing and B2B-specific terms. Europcar also wanted a refreshed responsive design aligned with Europcar.com and a system that would streamline both B2C and B2B bookings across its brands.

Dynamicweb implemented a combined B2C and B2B booking portal tightly integrated with Europcar’s CARLA booking/ERP system and CRM, using an Angular front end, advanced search filters, quick-book options and cross- and upsell capabilities. As a result, online turnover for April–June rose to an index of 116% year-over-year, the first microsite generated DKK 2.4 million in its first 12 months, organic traffic grew 17%, new visitors increased 18% and rejection rate fell 20%; sub-brands taxfreecars.dk and bookcar.dk now run on the same Dynamicweb platform, enabling easy microsite creation and centralized site management.
