BYKO is a leading Icelandic DIY and hardware retailer with physical stores and an online shop offering building materials, tools, appliances and eco-friendly products to B2B and B2C customers. Facing the challenge of improving digital services and making customers self-sufficient online (viewing purchase history, invoices, price contracts, credit status, etc.), BYKO selected the Dynamicweb ecommerce solution to deliver a user-friendly web shop tightly integrated with its backend systems.

Dynamicweb implemented an integrated ecommerce platform connecting Dynamics AX and inRiver PIM (using a modified Live Integration framework v1) to publish product data, live price and stock calculations, rental listings, project calculators and a “My pages” customer portal. The Dynamicweb solution improved product presentation, mobile UX, search and checkout, helping BYKO become one of Iceland’s largest online businesses with increased sales and traffic in 2019 and a roadmap to grow from 17,000 to 40,000 SKUs in 2020.
