A Dynamicweb Case Study

B2B Ecommerce and Self-Service Portal for Supporting Dealers and Customers

Tysse, Norway’s largest trailer producer selling about 10,000 units yearly through 141 dealers, faced an unstable and hard‑to‑use ecommerce portal after updating Microsoft Dynamics AX. The poor webshop forced many dealers to call headquarters to place orders, creating unsustainable manual work. In 2017 Tysse selected Dynamicweb (with EG A/S as partner) and launched a new online store in February 2018 using Dynamicweb All‑in‑One tightly integrated with Dynamics AX.

Dynamicweb delivered a B2B self‑service portal that lets resellers order trailers and add‑ons, view orders and invoices, monitor commissions, and purchase spare parts directly from a trailer’s serial‑number BOM pulled from AX to ensure correct parts. Dynamicweb’s solution shifted dealer behavior quickly: within one month more than half of dealer orders were placed through the webshop (up from one‑third), reducing phone orders and manual workload and freeing dealers to spend more time supporting customers.
