DynacTools Consolidates Win at Gerber Scientific

Gerber Scientific, a Hartford-based manufacturing company with 2,250 employees and $640 million in annual revenue, needed to replace spreadsheet-based budgeting and reporting as part of a broader finance improvement effort. After a Hackett Consulting review recommended moving reporting out of SAP, budgeting out of Excel, and building a data warehouse for business intelligence, the company looked for a faster and more cost-effective alternative to Hyperion and chose Dynac and DynacTools.

Dynac implemented DynacTools to link Gerber Scientific’s SAP GL application across more than 55 entities for worldwide budgeting, reporting, and consolidations. The system was slated to go live in less than five months for up to 15 power users and 50 to 100 managers, versus a year or more and seven-figure cost for a similar Hyperion project, delivering a lower-cost, flexible solution that connected disparate systems and produced unified results.
