A Dynac Case Study
Atlas Tube, a rapidly expanded manufacturing business, faced major financial reporting challenges after acquiring assets of Maverick Tube and shares of Copperweld Corporation. Its structure grew from two entities and about $500 million in sales to eleven entities and over $1 billion in sales, but its internal accounting software lacked consolidation capabilities, forcing the team to consolidate manually in Excel. Atlas Tube turned to Dynac for a better cost-effective solution, including consolidation and budgeting tools.
Dynac implemented the consolidation portion of its suite in less than one month, allowing Atlas Tube to use it for the very next month-end financial package, and later delivered the budgeting module in about another month. The solution mapped existing general ledger accounts without requiring changes, delivered strong customer support, and avoided a disruptive rollout; compared with a prior Hyperion implementation that took five months and four full-time employees, Dynac’s implementation required only one month and less than one full-time employee.
