Erste Group, a major financial services provider in Central and Eastern Europe, needed to build a unified developer portal to connect its nine different banks. This API Hub was required to enable third-party integrations while ensuring full compliance with PSD2 open banking regulations. They engaged DX Heroes for custom development and consultancy to address this challenge.

DX Heroes designed, tested, and implemented the portal, developing seven advanced microservices and integrating a unified API gateway to connect all the banks. The result was a highly intuitive portal that dramatically eased the integration process for developers. The project was a significant success, with the portal being ranked 5th in Developer Experience among 64 global banks and winning multiple DevPortal Awards for excellence in open banking.
