Aeropay is a Chicago-based mobile payments platform that helps small merchants avoid rising credit card processing fees and the risks of handling cash by enabling ACH-based point-of-sale payments. To solve onboarding and bank-transfer complexity, Aeropay partnered with Dwolla and leveraged Dwolla’s ACH payment API (including IAV) and dedicated support to power its bank-to-bank payment flow.

Aeropay integrated Dwolla’s APIs in just weeks to enable two-tap customer payments, a two-minute consumer onboarding flow, and simplified merchant onboarding, and now serves more than 100 businesses in the Chicago area. By using Dwolla, Aeropay offers next-day facilitated transfers, reduces card fees for merchants, speeds checkout lines, and frees up savings that merchants can reinvest or return to customers as rewards.
