Wagmo, a pet insurance startup founded by Christie Horvath and Alison Foxworth, needed a fast, affordable way to reimburse policyholders electronically instead of mailing checks. To solve that challenge, Wagmo partnered with Dwolla and adopted Dwolla’s Pay‑As‑You‑Go plan to enable programmable ACH reimbursements and automated notifications.

Using the Dwolla API, Wagmo completed integration in 10 days and launched one‑click claim payouts via standard ACH transfers. The Dwolla integration now handles nearly 7,000 Wellness claim payments per month, with most members opting for ACH and funds arriving as fast as the next day versus the previous 4–6 week check timeline.
