Case Study: Lenmo (peer-to-peer lending app) achieves scalable, low-cost micro-lending with Dwolla (ACH payments platform)

A Dwolla Case Study

Preview of the Lenmo Case Study

Mobile App Lenmo Partners with Dwolla, Inc. to Create Common Sense Micro-Investing

Lenmo, a mobile peer-to-peer lending app that connects borrowers (loans up to $5,000) with individual investors, needed a competitive, easy-to-use payments platform to enable secure, bank-to-bank transfers and scale its marketplace. To meet that need, Lenmo partnered with Dwolla and adopted Dwolla’s white‑label integrated API to connect to the ACH Network.

Dwolla’s integrated API powers all transfers on Lenmo, providing an ACH onramp that lowers transaction costs versus credit cards and checks and reduces operational overhead. The Dwolla integration allowed Lenmo to launch and scale quickly—offering loans at a fraction of traditional costs, charging investors no fees, and delivering a more affordable, efficient micro‑lending experience.
