Live.Give.Save., founded by Susan Langer in 2016, built Spave to help users automatically direct a percentage of each purchase into savings or to nonprofits. To handle secure bank linking and programmatic ACH transfers, Live.Give.Save. partnered with Dwolla, leveraging the Dwolla Platform (including IAV, Dashboard and Facilitate payment flow) to authenticate accounts and move funds without requiring users to write checks.

Dwolla serves as the master orchestrator for Spave’s micro‑payments: after Live.Give.Save. pulls users’ daily transactions and calculates allocations, Dwolla executes automated ACH transfers to users’ savings or to any of more than 1.5 million nonprofit organizations (users can choose up to five recipients). The integration delivered smooth bank linking, minimal customer‑support overhead, and reliable, automated distribution of funds—enabling Live.Give.Save. to scale its mission of turning everyday spending into saving and giving.
