Case Study: Due (freelance invoicing platform) achieves faster payments and improved cash flow with Dwolla (ACH API & digital wallet)

A Dwolla Case Study

Preview of the Due Case Study

Due, an Easy Way to Collect Freelance Payments

Due is an online invoicing platform built for freelancers and small businesses that helps users create, send and track invoices; as freelancing grows, Due needed a way for customers to accept low-cost bank transfers and hold funds in a branded digital wallet instead of routing payments directly to personal bank accounts. To solve that gap, Due partnered with Dwolla and integrated Dwolla’s ACH API and balance (wallet) functionality into its platform.

Using Dwolla’s ACH API, Due added the ability to accept ACH payments and offer a branded Dwolla balance so freelancers can hold funds for better cash-flow management. The integration — which Due called easy to implement — lets Dwolla handle the payment infrastructure while Due focuses on product features; the result is reduced card fees, faster and more flexible fund access for thousands of users, and a smoother payment experience overall.
