Fetch, an expense-reporting product from Shoeboxed, needed an end-to-end way to reimburse employees directly through its app—triggering programmatic bank-to-bank transfers on approval without requiring employees to “cash out” or open new accounts. After a three-month failed integration with another provider, Fetch chose Dwolla for its clean API, integration engineers, and account manager to meet requirements for an efficient timeline, open support, and fast reimbursements.

Using Dwolla’s API and support, Fetch implemented direct ACH reimbursements that replaced checks and automated the funds flow from employer to employee. Dwolla’s integration help saved Fetch more than 20 hours of development/debugging, over half of new customers opt into the payments feature at sign-up, Fetch reports a 95% retention rate, and many users see reimbursements at least five business days faster than their prior check-based process.
