Case Study: Penn State College of Medicine advances child abuse training and research with d’Vinci Interactive’s ecoLearn LMS

Penn State College of Medicine streamlines child abuse training with d'Vinci Interactive and automatic PALS reporting

d'Vinci Interactive partnered with Penn State College of Medicine to recreate the iLookOut for Child Abuse training course as part of an NIH-funded research project. The challenge was to modernize the training for mandated reporters of child abuse in Pennsylvania and integrate it into a new Learning Management System that could support a research study on reinforcing knowledge over time.

The solution was implemented using d'Vinci’s ecoLearn® Learning Management System (LMS), which provided a modern learner experience and seamless integration of the curriculum. The LMS leveraged the xAPI tracking standard to capture detailed learner data for the research study and automatically transmitted course completion results to the state licensing system. This improved tracking of learner metrics and outcomes is being used to shape future training.
