Oh Snap Layout, in partnership with Reliable Wholesale Lumber, Inc., faced the challenge of scaling production homebuilding. Their prefabricated framing strategy was hindered by a critical dependency: the on-site layout had to match the factory-level precision of their components to avoid costly rebuilds and delays on the jobsite. They turned to vendor Dusty Robotics for a solution.

Dusty Robotics provided its FieldPrinter robot to automate the layout process. The solution printed precise, multi-trade layout directly onto the concrete slab, ensuring every prefabricated component was installed exactly as designed. This resulted in a 60% reduction in the frame production schedule, saved 2 to 3 trips per trade per house, and allowed them to ship 30 frame packages per day. The precision of Dusty's layout also enabled early error detection, catching issues like misplaced plumbing before walls were built.
