ProQuest, a cloud-focused technology company that provides vetted research content to libraries, researchers, and the public, needed a modern, cloud-based two-factor solution to protect copyrighted publisher content and user information. With roughly 1,300 employees and 300–400 contractors across 18 countries using a mix of corporate and personal devices, ProQuest required a frictionless, scalable authentication approach that worked with their existing mobile device management and minimized disruption to users.

ProQuest chose Duo Platform (Duo Access) for its out-of-the-box integrations, device insight, and lightweight management. Using self-enrollment, the team rolled Duo out to the entire organization in about five days, achieving rapid uptake and strong user acceptance—especially Duo Push. Duo’s device visibility allowed ProQuest to identify jailbroken/rooted and passcode-less devices, enforce policies, and raise overall device security while keeping authentication smooth for users.
