La-Z-Boy, the U.S. furniture maker with more than 10,000 employees and 900 retail locations, needed to protect a complex, hybrid workforce across corporate, manufacturing and retail environments. After increased hacking activity during the shift to Office 365 and widespread remote work, the company required an easy-to-deploy Zero Trust approach with multi-factor authentication that could secure shared and BYOD devices, meet PCI, GDPR and CCPA obligations, and scale with a planned five‑year hybrid strategy.

La-Z-Boy implemented Duo’s Trusted Access platform—deploying MFA, Device Trust and a Device Health app—rolling it out by location to quickly secure VPN, O365 and legacy apps. The deployment delivered clearer visibility into managed and unmanaged devices and credential activity, helped enforce updates and block risky endpoints, supported PCI DSS MFA requirements, and reduced exposure to phishing, ransomware and other attacks while providing a scalable, compliant Zero Trust foundation.
