Highrise, a CRM provider, needed to strengthen its internal security before adding new administrative back-office features. Their challenge was to implement a secure two-factor authentication system without dedicating extensive development resources to building it from scratch. They turned to vendor Duo Security to utilize its authentication service.

The solution from Duo Security provided a highly flexible API that handled the complex authentication work. Using Duo's APIs, Highrise's engineers were able to efficiently integrate two-factor authentication. Furthermore, they built and open-sourced a gem to simplify the process for other Ruby developers, which allowed them to confidently proceed with building more sensitive admin functionality.
