Medidata, a Porto-based value-added reseller specializing in ERP solutions for Portuguese municipalities, needed to add a Business Intelligence and analytics capability to its portfolio so clients could analyze ERP data, act on KPIs, and improve operational efficiency. They also wanted a BI solution that could surface and help resolve internal data-quality issues arising from inconsistent database attributes and missing foreign-key constraints.

Working with Dundas BI through a tailored onboarding and enablement program, Medidata deployed interactive, extensible dashboards, scheduled alerts, and in-memory performance tuning to accelerate deliveries. The solution exposed database inconsistencies (allowing Medidata to fix about 60% of validity issues), enabled real-time resource and workflow adjustments, improved financial reporting and manager productivity, and shortened BI time-to-market for both Medidata and its clients.
