Pelikin, the Melbourne-based fintech app for students and young people, wanted to expand beyond travel planning and budgeting by adding in-app flight booking. The company needed a flight API provider that could help it scale quickly without spending months on ticketing authority, IATA/ARC accreditation, or building a complex booking platform from scratch.

Pelikin chose Duffel’s Flights API to embed flight bookings directly into its app, gaining a simple self-service integration and access to inventory from major airlines such as American Airlines, British Airways, Emirates, Lufthansa Group, and Qantas. With Duffel, Pelikin was able to launch its flights vertical faster and create a new revenue stream, while Duffel helped remove the traditional barriers to becoming an authorised travel seller.
