Interstate Hotels & Resorts managed independent properties in New York City, including The Roosevelt and NoMo SoHo, in a market where hotel supply growth was outpacing demand. To strengthen revenue management and compete more effectively for room nights, the company needed new systems and strategies, especially when NoMo SoHo changed ownership and replaced much of its technology stack.
Interstate Hotels & Resorts partnered with Duetto and implemented the cloud-based GameChanger revenue strategy platform, including Open Pricing and portfolio management. The company used more forward-looking data and improved forecasting across properties, and in 2016 NoMo SoHo increased its RevPAR Index by 4.5% while The Roosevelt rose 3.7% versus their comp sets.
