How new technology is helping British brand gain market share and drive revenue

Village Hotels, a UK group of 29 peripheral-city hotels, faced stagnation after years of limited investment. After acquisition by KSL Capital Partners, new management sought rapid ways to improve operations and revenue; as part of a wider IT and cloud overhaul they implemented Duetto’s GameChanger revenue management solution across the portfolio in November 2016.

Duetto’s GameChanger — combined with a new PMS on Hetras, 100 Mb/s broadband, OpenAPI integration and other cloud moves — enabled dynamic, closer-to-arrival pricing and automated business rules that drove demand. As a result Duetto helped lift key metrics year-on-year: RevPAR +6.3%, RevPAR Index +2.4% and occupancy +4.3% (from 81.3% in 2016 to 85.6% by end-2017), with RGI rising from 106.9 to 109.5 and 24 of 28 hotels ranked No.1 in their competitive sets.
