Chumash Casino Resort, a tribal gaming property near Santa Barbara, faced a post-expansion challenge: after more than doubling its hotel rooms in 2016 the property continued to sell out dates while comping the majority of rooms, limiting profitability. Seeking to grow higher-value overnight business from Los Angeles and Southern California while preserving loyalty, Chumash partnered with Duetto, installing Duetto’s GameChanger, engaging Duetto Strategic Consulting, and implementing the Find My Rate app in the call center to move away from static room offers.
Duetto’s solution enabled dynamic yielding by demand and customer value, reserving comps for high-value players, flexing cash rates for lower-tier guests, and executing a campus optimization that added more than 200 off-site rooms into reinvestment decisions. The shift to Duetto-powered pricing and targeted marketing doubled cash average daily rate (+106%) and nearly doubled total gaming value from overnight guests (+97%), while total non-gaming revenue rose 87%, alongside faster, more data-driven revenue processes.
