Change In Business Mix Boosts Revenue At Nira Caledonia

Nira Caledonia, a 28-room boutique hotel in the heart of Edinburgh, needed to free its small, multi-skilled team from time-consuming manual reporting and make more strategic, data-driven pricing decisions. In mid-2016 the hotel engaged Duetto, adopting Duetto’s GameChanger application and an Open Pricing policy to shift focus from occupancy to rate and revenue strategy automation.

Duetto’s GameChanger integrated with the PMS, provided a 400-day forward view and enabled faster, better-informed rate actions; the hotel also changed its business mix and recontracted key third-party partners. Within 12 months Duetto helped drive RevPAR up 24.6% (£126.96 to £158.26), ADR up 18.4% (£145.14 to £171.86) and RevPAR Index up 9.8% (June 2017 vs June 2016); August 2017 festival results showed RevPAR +7.4% to £205.29 and ADR +14.2% to £233.28, while revenue meetings fell from two hours to 20 minutes.
