GEICO, the second-largest private passenger auto insurer in the U.S., faced the challenge of accelerating speed to market and delivering exceptional digital and agent experiences while consolidating products onto a single, flexible platform. To meet those goals, GEICO transitioned its personal lines onto Duck Creek Technologies’ solutions, adopting Duck Creek Policy and Duck Creek Billing.

Duck Creek Technologies implemented a headless deployment of Duck Creek Policy and Billing (with a cloud migration strategy) that let GEICO focus on its own user experience and sales channels instead of infrastructure. The result: GEICO’s Umbrella line was rolled out in all 50 states in just over 12 months (versus the typical three years), more policies were sold in the first month on Duck Creek products than in the prior 12 months on the old system, and operational efficiency and customer-facing innovation improved significantly.
