Covéa Group consolidates reinsurance repositories in under 12 months with Duck Creek Technologies

Covéa Group, a major French mutual insurer formed from the merger of GMF, MAAF, and MMA, faced the challenge of unifying the disparate reinsurance processes and repositories of its three entities to meet Solvency II regulations. To consolidate its systems, Covéa engaged vendor Duck Creek Technologies for its functional expertise and development capabilities.

Duck Creek implemented a centralized corporate reinsurance information system by collaborating with Covéa's internal teams and consulting firm KPMG. The project was delivered in under 12 months, successfully achieving compliance with Solvency II and enabling a "fast close." The new system now manages 1,297 treaties across 218 companies in 35 countries and has streamlined accounting and reinsurance processes for 50 users.
