AIHA launches heat-stress app with Dualboot Partners for 8,000 professionals

AIHA, an association for occupational and environmental health and safety professionals, faced the challenge of protecting outdoor workers from life-threatening heat stress. An existing app used by other organizations relied on an incomplete heat index measurement. AIHA wanted to build a more holistic, free application to provide greater protection and partnered with Dualboot Partners to develop it.

Dualboot Partners designed and built a robust mobile app that uses Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) data, along with user-inputted details like work intensity and clothing, to generate personalized heat stress risk levels and prevention strategies. The solution provides workers and managers with actionable alerts, hydration schedules, and safety information. The AIHA Heat Stress App was launched in a beta phase to its 8,000 members and other interested parties, with the measurable impact goal of saving lives and preventing injuries. Dualboot Partners enabled a scalable solution that is now being distributed for widespread use and feedback.
