TechnoAlpin and MeteoGroup deliver hyper localised weather forecasts for efficient snowmaking

TechnoAlpin, the global leader in snowmaking systems, faced the challenge of reliably planning and operating snow production in Alpine microclimates where temperatures vary over short distances and cold windows are increasingly brief. To get pinpoint-accurate forecasts for efficient snowmaking, TechnoAlpin partnered with DTN to integrate a hyper-local weather service into its ATASSplus system.

DTN delivered an add-on weather module that blends macro-scale models with local sensor and historical data to produce precise, location- and elevation-specific forecasts. By integrating DTN’s forecasts into ATASSplus, TechnoAlpin improved energy-efficient snow production, reduced operating expense, and was able to exploit even the smallest favourable temperature variations for better planning and lower costs.
