Hard Rock Cafe partnered with DTiQ to improve its cafe audit process after an organizational change. The challenge was to choose between building an internal audit team or using an external loss prevention firm that could match Hard Rock’s culture, objectives, and broad operational needs across food service, retail merchandise, and memorabilia protection.
DTiQ implemented Compliance & Control Audits and related support services, including a Business Abuse Line and trained regional loss prevention auditors who first completed supervised audits before working independently. The program was expanded from one annual 2-day audit per cafe to two audits per year, and Hard Rock reported lower cost than building an internal team, greater flexibility and control, and dramatically improved policy compliance with faster identification and resolution of problem areas.
