Royal College of Art Embraces True Hybrid Teaching Across All Campuses, Delivering Flexible and Versatile Spaces for Modern Learning

The Royal College of Art, a renowned postgraduate university, needed to rapidly adapt its London campuses for hybrid teaching. Their challenge was to create flexible, user-friendly, and versatile learning spaces that could easily be reconfigured within their ever-changing environment. To address this, they worked with vendor DTEN to implement a solution centered around their all-in-one video conferencing devices.

DTEN deployed over 120 DTEN D7 devices mounted on mobile carts, integrating them with the Zoom platform to create true hybrid teaching spaces. This flexible solution allowed technology to be rolled into any area with a stable WiFi connection, replacing legacy fixed systems. The results included a dramatic reduction in resources needed for device management due to the self-service nature of the units and a significant increase in user satisfaction. The Royal College of Art achieved its aim of a flexible solution that ensures the best possible learning experience.
