Intelligent logistics reduce environmental impact

Spendrups, the Swedish brewery, needed a more efficient way to manage time-critical logistics for both outbound beer shipments and inbound deliveries of empty aluminium cans from supplier Ball. To support its just-in-time supply chain and strict cleanliness requirements, it turned to DSV for transport services.

DSV implemented a coordinated transport solution that collects empty cans from Ball’s plant in Malmö and delivers them 600 km to Spendrups’ brewery, while the same trucks return with filled cans to the Malmö region. This reduced truck movements and CO2 emissions, improved capacity for seasonal peaks, and ensured secure handling through sealed trucks, trained drivers, and clear procedures for delays or issues.
